Sounds a little dystopian, doesn’t it? Don’t worry, it’s not as scary as it sounds. In fact, it actually makes your job much easier. Check it out!
Bynder is the most comprehensive DAM tool on the market, serving as a single source of truth for all your marketing materials – photos, branded content and more. With countless integrations across creative tools like Adobe Suite, Canva, your CMS (think WordPress or Drupal), PIM systems and much more, the DAM tool is the ideal marketing sidekick.
Today, we are taking a closer look at one of Bynder’s newest features: AI tagging.
The new “face recognition feature” was developed in response to Bynder customer requests. Many users experienced faced challenges with automating tags and the speed of database searches.
In early September, Bynder said “Hold my beer” and introduced Face Recognition (for images). Identify, tag and locate images quickly in your DAM by means of this AI-powered feature. At Catena Company, we wholeheartedly support this, as we strongly believe in the power of Artificial Intelligence in content (creation).
I know what you are thinking: “this sound great, but do I have to re-upload the thousands of photos, visuals and other assets in my database?
Not at all! Once you activate the AI Face Recognition feature, it automatically scans your database for faces. Admittedly, you will need to link each face to a name at least once, which might take some time depending on the number of photos in your DAM tool. But after that, the system saves you tons of work. You can search by name, or use smart filters and get instant results. No more tedious manual filename updates—though it’s still a good idea—and no worries about correct spelling!
For now, Bynder’s AI Face Recognition only supports images. While face recognition in videos presents more complex challenges, it’s likely this feature will be available soon.
Bynder is committed to GDPR compliance and data protection laws. An important part of this Face Recognition update is that your data will not be shared with third parties, and when you remove a face from the database, it will no longer be accessible. This is a key consideration when working with AI tools.
Let’s talk about your project.
