AS Adventure combines the gears of automation with the brushstrokes of creativity

Automating does not mean losing your creativity. AS Adventure came with a pressing request to free up more time by automating repetitive tasks. This way, their team could get back to being more creative. Discover their story.

Compiling a brochure is an intensive and time-consuming process. Hence, AS Adventure embarked on a quest to simplify this endeavour and eradicate human blunders. Katrien Dupon, the ingenious Campaign Manager at AS Adventure, embraced the gauntlet and swiftly discerned that automation held the key to surmounting this obstacle.

Direct contact with an expert

After thorough research and several conversations with various parties, Katrien found her way to Catena Company. What set Catena apart was the direct involvement of Workflow Specialist Jan Van Sprengel. Being directly engaged with a professional immersed in this technology on a daily basis instilled a profound sense of trust within AS Adventure. Considering the ripple effect this transformation would have across multiple teams within the organization, meticulous planning was paramount. And who better to navigate these intricacies than the expert himself?

Creative freedom intact

At AS Adventure, the essence of experience permeates their brochures, an element that absolutely had to be preserved. Right from the outset, it was clearly communicated that designers shouldn’t feel fettered by the tool; rather, it should serve as an ally. Consequently, repetitive tasks like price and item number placement were automated, liberating designers to focus on the artistic flourishes.

This does not mean, however, that templates were taboo. In collaboration with Jan, templates were prepared during a two-day training course. Technical aspects were covered by him, allowing the creative team to fine-tune the final template to their own vision. This created the perfect balance between technical efficiency and creative freedom in leaflet automation.

Every team benefits from the implementation of the Dynamic Data Publishing Suite

The creation of a brochure requires collaboration between different teams: creatives, buyers, copywriters… The DDP Suite at AS Adventure has led to fewer reviews and corrections, resulting in reduced email traffic, lower error rates, and more efficient time management. With proper guidance and training, the creative team now possesses all the necessary tools to independently produce their brochures using the DDP Suite.
