The Bynder Spotlight Awards are a source of inspiration every year. Not only because they celebrate companies that make a difference with their content, but above all because they show what is possible when you take a truly smart approach to your content processes. What stands out in the 2025 edition? More and more international brands no longer see DAM as “a handy image database,” but as the beating heart of their entire content strategy.
And although the awards were just out of reach for Catena clients De Singel, Hillewaere, and ZAS this year, they too were nominated on the basis of inspiring DAM projects that are worth following. We are rightly proud that they made it onto the shortlist.
What makes these cases so powerful? Not viewing DAM as a cost item, but as a growth accelerator in the content strategy.
From cost center to growth accelerator
Chewy: from chaos to control
Take Chewy, for example: they rapidly migrated more than 2 million assets to Bynder, streamlining the content approach of thousands of brands. Thanks to AI features and smart automation, their team was freed from daily content chaos. This is somewhat similar to our approach at Lannoo Publishing.
Sky New Zealand: speed without compromise
Or take Sky New Zealand, where more than 940,000 assets were managed in a metadata-driven structure. Custom API integrations and internal support enabled content to be published faster than ever before, without compromising quality. As a result, their DAM became the backbone of the organization.
Omaha Steaks: 1 billion experiences, zero guesswork
And then there’s Omaha Steaks, which used DAM to run its entire Christmas campaign. Using Bynder’s CX Omnichannel, they delivered 1 billion personalized content experiences, resulting in 330,000 new customers. No guesswork, just pure data-driven marketing impact.
Peregrine Hospitality: rebranding without noise
Another notable case is that of Peregrine Hospitality. For their global rebranding, they used Bynder to centralize and manage more than 80,000 assets. Thanks to this central location, they were able to roll out their rebranding seamlessly, reaching 49 million people and achieving a 63% increase in internal adoption. No chaos, no old versions, just everything in the right place. That’s how rebranding becomes truly strategic.
Riot Games: when storytelling takes center stage
At gaming giant Riot Games, it’s all about storytelling. They built “Ritopedia,” a central content hub with more than 5,000 pages about the rich gaming world that their community adores. Thanks to DAM, their creative teams’ search time has been reduced by 25% and they save around $2 million annually. When content is your core product, it pays to organize it really well.
Eddie Bauer: scalable content as a growth driver
E-commerce brand Eddie Bauer uses DAM on an unprecedented scale. Through Bynder, they generate more than 7 billion dynamically transformed images annually. That level of personalization and speed means that e-commerce now accounts for more than 50% of their total revenue. Their DAM system is literally the engine behind their online business.
Pernod Ricard: creativity accelerated by AI
And then there is Pernod Ricard, a pioneer in the field of AI in content management. They use Natural Language Search, Duplicate Finder, and other AI functionalities to find content faster, encourage reuse, and above all, give their creative people more time for real creativity. This results in tangible time savings.
DAM as a strategic lever, not as an IT project
What connects these companies and our customers such as De Singel, Hillewaere, and ZAS? They see DAM not as an IT project, but as a strategic lever. A solid foundation on which content, brand experience, and speed come together in perfect balance.
And that is exactly what we stand for at Catena. No one-size-fits-all platforms, but smart ecosystems in which your content flows, lives, and yields results. Brands that work with us don’t choose software. They choose a competitive edge in their content strategy.
