With 24 hours we mean 3 separate training days, where you start with the “basics” and through “the next level” to “expert tips & tricks”. These days are spread over a longer period. So between the various days you have plenty of time to get to work yourself and master the skills taught.

This course starts with the ‘Illustrator – basics in one day’, this day teaches you some basic techniques that can be useful in any design. You get to know the interface and the most common tools in Adobe Illustrator. We teach you useful shortcuts that you can always reuse.

How to create shapes and how to combine them. You will learn to trace logos and images and to create patterns. Of course, you also learn to save and export files correctly for various outputs.

During the second day ‘Illustrator – the next level’ you will learn how to apply transparency masks and how to create color variations and complex vectorized frame borders. You give shape to graphics with data from Excel and discover the possibilities of ‘pins’. You dive deeper into the non-destructive editing of geometric shapes. In addition, you get everything from the ‘appearance/design’ palette.

The last day ‘Illustrator – expert tips & tricks’ teaches you to color surfaces with Live Painting, with the possibility to change your paths later. You base your design on an image by using Live Tracing and learn to manipulate text live without converting it to outlines.

Furthermore, you will discover all about dynamic symbols and the flexibility in templates, using and modifying vector graphics. You will also explore the novelties of libraries and the collaboration with Adobe Stock. The possibilities of working together on one layout by using Creative Cloud are also discussed.
